A panic attack can be the most scary experience someone will ever suffer.  There is no predicting when a panic attack will strike and they can even occur while a person is sleeping.  The symptoms are such that many sufferers initially believe that they are having a heart attack.  The feeling of loosing control is accompanied by a terror and panic which can lead to breathing difficulties.  This shortness of breath and reduced oxygen can then cause lightheadedness and even a nauseous feeling.
